Keeping the traditions—and the cookies—going

This is my favorite time of year.

I hate this time of year.

Why the Jekyll & Hyde attitude at this glorious-slash-heartbreaking time of year?

Because college.

Damn college. Wonderful college. Confusing-as-hell college. College that threatens to hijack the very traditions that have defined our holiday (and other parts of our family life) for the past 20 years.

I’m sharing some of these feelings over on super-site Grown & Flown. Pop on over and find out what favorite family tradition of my college daughter’s I may or may not have lied about, and how I’m trying to figure out how to cope.

And yes, these cookies are part of both of those things.
