I don’t have time for this. I’m in the middle of making dinner, but this cannot go untouched on this blog. Just came in to do a quick email check while the cornbread is cooking and (of course) opened up UsWeekly.com. Thus, today’s {quick} installment of Hot Hollywood Hell. This is Jamie Lynn Spears’ 4 […]

  • Amy Matsumoto - so this post made me laugh. Unfortunately it was somewhat awkward, uneasy laughter. It’s hard for me to believe what some parents are okay with allowing their daughters to wear. Even if it is dress up. I just complained to a coworker of mine that girls are quickly running out of decent role models. T. Swift may be the only one left as of now. sad sad days ahead.
    preach it!ReplyCancel

  • Kimmyyy83 - This post definitely made me laugh this morning. But you are right, girl role models these days are far and few between!!ReplyCancel

  • Jennifer fromFUMC - Holy crap! I’ve never seen the Hooker Toddler image before. I’m no prude either but could almost be considered child abuse, in my opinion. That is so, so wrong…on several levels. But, is it weird that now I want to dress up as Hooker Vivian for Halloween? I guess that would also be wrong on several entirely different levels… with the most problematic being the whole my love handles in plain view level…ReplyCancel

  • *LO* - wow i have to sign up for those emails! this is hilarious yet disturbing at the same time. It’s sad almost. That 4 y/o’s skirt is a little too short… it would have been “acceptable” if it was at a normal length!ReplyCancel

Apologies for the blurry photos. This post was written before I switched sites and the pictures didn’t transfer well. If you want to see them clearly, you’ll have to stop by sometime.  This week’s favorites list is short. And blond. With killer legs and a powerful voice. And last night she Blew. Us. Away. If […]

  • Amy Matsumoto - I saw Carrie last year on labor day weekend at Mystic Lake Casino. Not sure if that’s around your where abouts. She did mention on stage that she wasn’t expecting it to be quite so cold and she was glad she happened to have ONE sweater on her bus. Maybe the cold scared her to phoenix.ReplyCancel

I’ve always thought of myself as a nice person. As a general rule, I don’t wish ill-will on others, I smile and speak kindly to receptionists and airport security and the mentally challenged adults who bag my groceries, and I even give telemarketers a minute or two to start their spiel before hanging up on them […]

  • Mrs. Newlywed Giggles - I live in area where are they fifty billin squirrels too. I have a tally for myself
    Mrs.Newlywed Giggles = 5; Squireels = 0
Yep, I have killed five squirrels with my car. Just give me a call and I’ll drive over. I”m pretty sure I will at least kill some of them for you. LOLReplyCancel

  • Carolyn - BAHAHAHAHAHA! This post is hilarious. I feel for you and your half eaten pumpkins, but it’s still pretty funny. Wanna borrow Cooper and Grace? They LOVE chasing squirrels. 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - I cannot stop laughing! My neighbor shoots them from his kitchen window…it’s creepy, but effective…almost feel sorry for the little guys.ReplyCancel

  • Dawn - hahahha…sorry, this is so not funny, {but, it is a little bit!} My dad sits on our deck and shoots them with a BB gun. It doesn’t even kill them, but scares them out of the yard.ReplyCancel

  • Kimmyyy83 - LMAO!!!!! Your hatred for squirrels equals mine of birds. DANG they TORE UP that pumpkin. I say you have a slingshot party, invite others, and go to town!ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - Buy an air soft rifle at Dicks and let Brian go to town. We have a squirrel graveyard (except we don’t bother to bury them – they are flung in with a shovel) in the woods behind our house. I bought my son one the day after a damn acorn dropped into my gin and tonic on the deck. War was declared then at our house. Don’t mess with my drink!! PeggyReplyCancel

    • Michelle - hahaha Peggy – The air soft rifle has been discussed in the past, but now I definitely think it will be purchased this weekend! So maybe they’re all running scared from your house straight into my backyard! 😉ReplyCancel

  • Tracy - Oh, my GOD!!! Are you my neighbor? I am having the same battle!!!! http://www.momaical.com/2012/10/the-running-of-squirrels.html

I spend a lot of time on this little blog talking about my favorites, but something that I haven’t had the pleasure to write about in the past six and a half months (because it’s been the dry season) is something that comes pretty close to topping the list. Award Shows. I love Award Shows. […]

This week the air turned crisp, the apples turned beautiful and the strawberries in the store turned ugly, the fuzzy socks were located (from the depths of the sock drawer…and under the bed) and on Tuesday I smelled something kind of burning in my house and then realized the heater had come on (I quickly […]

  • Sally - Pretty sure you should be recording a few football games as part of your weekday napping strategy!

Those were my Sunday afternoons growing up… along with Fireside apples… kind of like old school Honeycrisp. So good. Have a great weekend!ReplyCancel

  • Mrs. Newlywed Giggles - I am now going to rush to Costco to get me some bags of the brownie. Genius whoever thought of that!ReplyCancel

  • Carolyn - Love this! Seriously… fall is my favorite time of year, and I hope that Minnie knows to make it last longer for us this year. 🙂 Football is the best thing ever to take a nap too! LOVE IT! I need to go buy some of those candles… YUM!ReplyCancel

  • Jen Grantham - Hi Michelle! I’m your newest follower. I found you via A Prince and Prozac. You had me at “Self-awareness is sexy” and your love of football and naps. Well played.
    Jen @ CraftyMisAdventures.comReplyCancel

  • Jennifer fromFUMC - So funny, per usual! My life is not going to feel complete until I get one of those leave candles…ReplyCancel

  • Melissa - Totally on with you on napping during football games! Why IS it the perfect lullaby?? I also agree on the Caribou vs. Starbucks pumpkin spice latte battle. But I have to say the BEST pumpkin spice latte I’ve ever had is from a vendor at the Mill City Farmer’s Market. It tasted so REAL and not like fkaey syrup. But you better believe I drink my fair share of Starbuck’s version and love them.ReplyCancel

  • Becky - Love this fall post! I don’t know if I should hit up Costco and get the brownie things…I really really want them but what if I can’t stop eating them?! The difficult decisions I face in day to day life 🙂

My blogroll today was full of posts titled, “I Believe”.When I saw the first one, I figured it was a post about Santa and the magic of Christmas (a little early, but as someone who may or may not have already picked out her Christmas cards, it didn’t faze me).But then I rolled past a […]

  • The Management - Not only do I BELIEVE in not ever cooking or cleaning the kitchen…. I actually never cook or clean the kitchen.

Why else would I have adopted a random ginger guy into my life, amirite?!ReplyCancel

  • JKT - YES, YES, YES. I believe in staying in bed until the very last minute, napping as often as possible, an hour in target is the best and by all means when you get a coupon for 50% off it means spend that much more.ReplyCancel

  • Kari - I believe this is the best list I’ve seen. 🙂

  • Rachel - Oh wow…I’ve never thought of a 50% off coupon as meaning that you can spend more…I was just always happy to be spending less than I thought I’d have to. I’m not sure my husband would thank you for revealing this information to me. ;PReplyCancel
