About 4 years ago Husband and I spent our 15th wedding anniversary in Cabo San Lucas. No question a romantic destination, especially of you can stay in a lovely resort. I remember taking long and lovely walks on the beach, hand in hand….collecting shells….sharing a bottle of wine while watching the sun set over the […]

  • Lindsay - I thought “Oh hell no” when I saw both of these pictures too! Ridiculous!ReplyCancel

  • Taylor Grace - This is the fastest response ever, but I loved your comments today! And I am grabbing your button right now as well 🙂ReplyCancel

So I thought you’d enjoy this story – Last night we had a 9:45 p.m. flight to Phoenix to attend my nephew’s wedding and had planned to leave the house by 7:00 so we could stop and pick up sandwiches on the way and leave enough time to stop at the Delta Sky Lounge for […]

  • Sparkling - Wow I am so overwhlemed with the idea of a car smelling like yellow spray paint for the rest of my life. Because it’s that much worse being yellow. I don’t even know what I’d do. And I’d have to duct tape thing 2’s mouth closed with her eternal optimism. I don’t love to hear optimism during a crisis! Yes, it could have been worse, but you definitely deserved the upgrade to first class after that! Found you at finding the funny.ReplyCancel

  • black olive is... - I’m such a freak. I immediately imagined all sorts of nasty scenarios if the cats breaking into the garage and discovering that paint!ReplyCancel

  • Excelsior. - Youre My Favorite Today - […] cancelled flights, our entire family getting a stomach virus at Disneyworld, cans of paint exploding in my car — I do my very best not to let the foul balls life sometimes throws my way bother me.  […]ReplyCancel

I know I’ve mentioned before that our family has been long time and long loyal American Idol fans.   I’ve even been to not one, but two of those excruciatingly Painful summer tour concerts. But after watching all the way up to Hollywood week this year, we just couldn’t get into it and (gasp) removed it […]

  • lemonie - ha! spot on. she is dirrty inside and out.ReplyCancel

  • pendy - I have no idea how I ended up on your blog but can I just say that I feel EXACTLY the same way about her? Can’t watch The Voice because of her. Blech.ReplyCancel

  • Jaime - I haven’t been able to stand her since back in the day when the 4 blondes all appeared out of nowhere (Britney, Christina, Mandy, and Jessica). Never liked her or her music, to be honest.

About Paula Abdul and the train wreck she became: On a TV show called Psych on USA in the second season (first ep in that season, I believe), they did a show paying homage to American Idol, sort of. It was called American Duos. There were 3 judges (Tim Curry was hilarious as one) and one female out of the 3. She had to have been written to play on the Paula thing. Gina Gershon killed it. Yes, it was over the top, but hysterical. I am sure there is clip or two floating around.ReplyCancel

I love the month of May. There’s just something about it that makes me happy and full of hope and anticipation.   It might be the new lime green baby leaves on all the trees or the happy yellow daffodils or the crabapple trees that contradict their name with branches heavy with pink and white […]

As I was just clicking through the Photos of the Day on People.com (it’s what I often do instead of folding laundry) I came across a a photo of George Clooney (who is so in my top 5) along with this headline: Clooney: The Way You Want Him Umm…I’m not sure the way I want him […]

  • Teri Biebel - Just going through some of your old stuff and came across this one. He is by far the SEXIEST man. Ever. Hands down.

    That is all.ReplyCancel

This week I’ve had a cold off and on and have felt totally sleep deprived and like I need to nap constantly (which I kind of have). I can’t shake it. I even got some B-12 gummies in an attempt to boost my energy (I can’t take grown-up vitamins because they make me severely nauseous. […]

  • francisco - Grease was bad in hindsight… but I shudder when I think about my parents hearing me singing the lyrics to Rocky Horror Picture Show… “touch-a, touch-a, touch me… i wanna be dirty”.ReplyCancel

Husband is a little concerned he’s becoming my blog’s ‘foil’. I can’t imagine why he feels that way.  I mean, think I’ve made it pretty clear that I adore that man. (exhibit A). And it’s a damn good thing I do.   If there’s one thing I love better than Target, John Hughes movies and […]

  • The Queen Bee - Get a full in the smallest child’ s room. Get REALLY good sheets and comforter for smallest child. Tell smallest child to move the heck over or go sleep with your sissy, she’s scared and needs you!ReplyCancel

  • Michelle - Love the REALLY good sheets part. And it is a great idea. Smallest child has a twin + a trundle, but 1) usually impossible to pull out trundle in the middle of the night due to all the crap littering floor of her room, and 2) trundle mattress is ridiculously uncomfortable. Now more than ever, I wish our 4th bedroom didn’t belong to our 3rd daughter – BARBIE – and there was room for a real bed in there.ReplyCancel

  • Taylor Grace - What a great title for a blog- I love it! And thanks for leaving a comment so it could lead me to you!ReplyCancel

  • kammommy - i won’t say this helps Kurt stop snoring at all – but it makes me feel better. At night when he’s really snoring, like he can be heard 4 blocks away kind of snoring, I turn down the volume on the TV and hold the phone as close to his head as possible and press “record”. Then, at any moment I can pull out my phone and say “this is you!” and I feel a little better.ReplyCancel

  • Blair - If the snoring doesn’t get better after the cold/sinus stuff heals, he may want to get a sleep study. Might be sleep apnea and the snoring is prolly disrupting his sleep cycle (as well as yours).ReplyCancel
