I’m not a fan of flying. At all. There’s not much I like about any part of it except (obviously) the fact that it gets me to a destination that I must want to go to badly enough to endure the hours of being trapped and jostled and hurtled through the sky at alarming height […]

I’m a couple of days late posting favorites this week, which I’m quite certain has thrown off your whole weekend, but I’ve been surprisingly busy, and besides, there is really only one favorite this week: 1. MY BIRTHDAY!! – My birthday has always been my favorite holiday (don’t even try to tell me it isn’t considered […]

I’m a firm believer that you are only as old as you feel, and that the number that is your age doesn’t really mean anything unless you want to drive a car, buy some beer or get a discount on show tickets.  I love this saying –  “How old would you be if you didn’t […]

It’s officially mid-March which officially means that I’ve survived yet another e-n-d-l-e-s-s Minnesota winter and can see the light gleaming and beckoning to me from the end of the tunnel! I know you’re taunting me, light, because you know that we will surely get at least one more snow, but still, I see you and […]

I think I might have mentioned my new obsession with Pinterest.  During one of my very first forays into the magical world of everything you could possibly want to know or make or eat or see… or 10,000 ways to braid your hair I stumbled across this little gem of a photo. I still have this at […]

  • readndr - Why oh why did I throw away ALL THE BOXES OF FOLDED NOTES THAT I HAD SAVED?!? and my sticker collection…..and my fashion plates…..and my Smurf figurines….ReplyCancel

  • Kara - I am an 80’s/90’s kid but this post totally spoke to me. We make our daughter and any cousins or friends she has over play outside as much as possible. She doesn’t get much TV or Computer which is fine because she never had it so she doesn’t know what she is missing.

Last week she asked me what an encyclopedia was because it was mentioned in a book we were reading. She could hardly believe it!

And I truely miss the days of MTV actually playing music videos.

    Another great post! 🙂ReplyCancel

Despite the fact that all day Monday I thought it was Friday this week f-l-e-w by, which makes me giddy with happiness because that means we are 1 week closer to SpRiNg, green grass, warm(ish) sunshine, FLIP FLOPS and getting on the lake. Happy dance! I’m wrapping up the week with a list of things that […]

As my husband and I sat down to watch T.V. on the night of March 25, 2002, we had no idea that what we were about to witness would change our lives.  I’ll admit it and refuse to be ashamed by it. Change. Our. Lives. Remember this guy? The polished yet incredibly dull management consultant […]

I’ve been spending way too much time on Pinterest lately.  I can’t stop looking at all those small photos of delicious looking food and hilarious quotes and adorable baby animals and brides who all have ridiculous gorgeous hair and tiny babies dressed as mermaids and perfectly put together outfits with cool scarves and places that […]

    • Michelle - Thanks for reading!! And I really just like to give MN a lot of grief (because of the grief it gives me from Dec.- April)! I’m a west coast girl at heart so it’s just been a bit of a shock to find myself here….for 14 years and counting! But yes – it is a LOVELY place to raise your family and MPLS is a great city, no question!! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Teri Biebel - Wow you’re a blogger?? I had no idea! This is gonna be great!! 🙂ReplyCancel
